MAS Scorer
The Motivation Assessment Scale is one of the most commonly used indirect assessment tools in behaviour support — and one of the most time-consuming to score when you’re doing it by hand across a full caseload.
The MAS Scorer handles the calculation automatically. Enter ratings across the 16 items, and the workbook returns subscale scores for all four functions, ranks them by highest to lowest, and generates a bar chart you can copy directly into your assessment report.
What’s included:
- Input sheet for all 16 MAS items
- Automatic calculation of 4 subscale scores (Sensory, Escape, Attention, Tangible)
- Ranked function summary
- Bar chart output formatted for reports
- Scoring key and instructions tab
Who it’s for:
BSPs conducting functional behaviour assessments — especially those who use both the QABF and MAS together as part of a multi-informant assessment battery. Both scorers use the same workbook structure so you can switch between them without relearning the layout.
Format: Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) — Excel 2016 or later required. Not compatible with Google Sheets.
